Personalize Your Recipe Box!

With so many digital recipe sites I've paired down all of my recipe books to a handful of favorites that include family handed recipes and a few that are not easily located on the web, To house them I bought an unfinished wood recipe box and decided to Personalize it with the theme in my home. I painted it with Acrylics, using my Cricut to cut Vinyl templates for the cutest cartoon characters of ocean creatures and sayings. You can also just paint the background and then create print & cut stickers if you have a Cricut embossing machine!

Materials:

1. Wood box - can purchase on the internet or similar at Michaels

2. Acrylic paints: I use both tube and craft paints like Apple Barrel

3. Paint markers for outlining the cartoon characters, words & detail work

4. Clear coat (4 layers) with Water Based Polyurethane
